We are committed to accuracy and transparency. When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly, clearly and fairly.
Minor edit, material update, correction
A minor edit fixes typos or formatting and does not create a public log. A material update adds significant new information to a developing story and is timestamped. A correction fixes a material factual error and adds a dated editorial note to the affected page.
Our corrections process
We review the issue and verify the facts against our source hierarchy. If a change is supported, we update the article or entity page and, for material errors, add a correction note. If it is not supported, we keep an internal record of the review. We never expose sensitive documents publicly.
